About The Founder

        Brandon “Coach Smoke” Williams is a proud Chicagoland community member, born and raised on the South Side of Chicago. He is an alum of Simeon Career Academy and Grambling State University, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and was an All-SWAC Second Baseman. Brandon’s love for baseball began at an early age while playing for the legendary Jackie Robinson West Little League program.

Brandon currently serves as the Senior Varsity Baseball Coach at Simeon Career Academy, where his leadership and commitment to excellence have produced historic success. In 2025, he was named IHSA Class 3A Area Coach of the Year, while leading Simeon to both the 2025 IHSA Class 3A Regional Championship and the 2025 IHSA Class 3A Sectional Championship—solidifying his impact as a top-tier coach within Illinois high school baseball.

Coach Smoke aspires to support student-athletes of all demographics, using baseball as a vehicle to achieve greater opportunities in life. His goals are to enhance young athletes’ skills and abilities, instill confidence, and build strong character through intense, purposeful training. Specializing in infield development, Brandon is also a well-known coach within the White Sox ACE Program and is widely respected throughout the Chicagoland baseball community.

Coach Smoke Athletics believes that mindset comes before skillset. With the right positive mindset, athletes can develop strong character, and the skills will follow.
